Mozilla Headquarters – Paris (75) – France
Location: Paris, France
Project: Headquarters
Surface: 1 800 m2
Role: Architect
Status: Completed
We designed the new French headquarters for Mozilla in a 16th century building that had previously housed the Austrian Embassy, located in central Paris on one of the grands boulevards. We placed the main working spaces on the first floor in listed heritage spaces, highly ornate rooms overlooking the boulevard. Acoustic engineering was a prime consideration. On this same level we designed space for public participation and a large home kitchen. The main public reception area is also located on the first floor, next to the monumental staircase.
On the ground floor, we designed the reception area, conference facilities, staff canteen, lounge facilities and a bicycle shed in the spaces surrounding the main courtyard.
On one side of the courtyard, we designed a contemporary apartment for Mozilla visitors.
